What we are looking for

Strong proposals have a clear subject, a specific reader question and an answer that remains useful beyond a passing trend. We are interested in room planning, materials, furniture, light and design history, especially when a piece explains trade-offs or shows how existing things can be used well.

A useful pitch

Tell us the working title, the central idea, the likely structure and why the topic merits attention. Note any sources, images or specialist input the piece would need. Keep the scope focused and distinguish what you can support from personal observation or opinion.
