Editorial policy
Southern Design Review aims to publish clear, careful writing about interior design. We distinguish description, interpretation and opinion, and we do not present an aesthetic preference as a settled fact.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against suitable sources and provide context where a design term, material or historical claim could be misunderstood. We avoid implying that a particular arrangement or purchase will suit every household. If a subject depends on specialist assessment, safety requirements or local rules, we say so rather than offering a do-it-yourself verdict.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not to secure a favourable mention or placement. We do not promise coverage in exchange for access, payment or products. If we discover a material error, we correct the article and clarify the change; readers can send correction requests through the Contact page.
Partnerships and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise collaborative material is identified plainly wherever it appears, including partner placements. Such arrangements do not determine our editorial conclusions. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, they are identified and should not be taken as documentary photographs or exact depictions of a real room.
